    Hi Alex

I am looking into purchasing support ticket software for my site.

As part of my sites memberships I'd like to be able to set limits and prices on support ticket packages.

    For example:

    Basic Support Package
    10 support tickets $?

    Advanced Support Package
    20 support tickets $?

A sample package - for example:

1 x Toning and Fat Loss Program
    10 x support tickets

If clients wanted to purchase further support tickets once they have run out then they can via the shopping cart.

Alex, as you know I use aMemberPro as my shopping cart as well. Can aMemberPro be tied in with a program such as: http://www.kayako.com

    Features
    http://www.kayako.com/?_a=products&_m=esupport.features

    Requirements
    http://www.kayako.com/?_a=products&_m=esupport.requirements

I have asked http://www.kayako.com support in regards to integration and this is what they said:

    ================
    Mandy,
In our current version v2.2, we provide 96% of the source code using which you yourself can integrate eSupport with your existing software. Please note the source code is provided only on purchase of the Owned version.
    ================

    Kind regards
    Mandy

    Other support ticket integration options

Has anyone found any support ticket systems - with ticket limit and multiple ticket raising options - that can be integrated with aMember Pro?

    Kind regards
    Mandy

When I checked Kayako, it did not support user account creation at all, so any integration is of course impossible.

May be PerlDesk? (I know, not best one).

    Hey Alex

I saw you supported PerlDesk and have emailed them in regards to add-on functions etc that I require. If the add-on functions could be acheived I'll be happy to go with perldesk. Sure I'd prefer something different but hey I don't have many choices out there at the moment and I don't want to make the whole integration thing too difficult.

Cheers, Alex, I'll let you know what PerlDesk says.

    Kind regards
    Mandy

Perl Desk functionality isn't great at all. I looked at Kayako, much better functionality.

The amember integration to perldesk provides synch to the users table of perldesk. When a product is purchased in amember they are automatically added to perldesk. Great feature.

What does the AMember plugin do for Kayako? If it doesn't synch users, what does it do?

The plugin description for AMember says " This plugin uses internal Kayako eSupport Integration abilities, so it works different way than other plugins" how?

This plugin is addition to Kayako, not to aMember.

When new user comes to login into Kayako, it checks aMember database for such username/password and creates corresponding record in Kayako users db if necessary.

I have to tell you that PerlDesk is COMPLETELY NON-USER FRIENDLY. EVen if they allowed you to sell support tickets, forget it. Your end-users wouldn't be able to figure it out.

For AMember integrated scripts, to the best of my knowledge you have 3 choices:

PerlDesk -- don't do it. I'm telling you..

DeskPRO -- This is the help desk ticket software that Alex and Alexander use here on amember. There IS a plugin for it ! 40.00, just email them. I don't know though if they allow selling of tix.

Kayako -- the plugin works by integrating on the Kayako side. It will check to see if there's already a user in your Amember table. Supposedly Kayako integrates with OSCommerce, so it must be taking money for something. Worth doing some googling on.

    Other choices:
Cerberus -- It's UI is not exactly intuitive and easy to use: but it works. That's a lot more than most helpdesks that just make things more frustrating than using a regular e-mail client. They also offer a FREE version for 1 email address. It's a bit of a pain to install though (so I hear).
    www.cerberusweb.com

SupportTrio might be worth looking at.

You might want to look at Intellodesk as well. They might allow you to sell tickets (not sure about AMember integration). But they dont say they sell support tix.

Is Kayako and AMember Integration Working?

How Do I tell if AMEMBER is working with KAYAKO?

I have the plugin enabled per the directions in the plugin (it's actually through Kayako's "template" login share).

But when I go to AMEMBER and type in my username and pass, it says "invalid" or "not recognized"

I also don't have any option to request a userID and pass from Kayako.

I went to "templates" and "loginshare" in Kayako and put the amember database info in (DB user, pass, DB name, etc).

I also found a spot under "manage template groups" where I can
"Specify the LoginShare Module to use to authenticate the visitors under this Template Group." I changed this to "amember" in the drop down.

It tells me to make sure I have updated the settings for this module under Templates > LoginShare. which I have done.

I guess I am just not sure what is supposed to happen.

Aren't people supposed to be able to login to the Kayako help desk using their info in the Amember User Table?

Also, if a ticket is created by using the email address in the amember database, is Kayako supposed to recognize them as an aMember authenticated person?

PS -- I have also turned "on" uniqe email address identificaiton in Amember.

Was some tweak neccessary to the Kayako plug-in to get it to work?

    Mine doesn't work either.

    Thanks,

No ones loginshare will work if you follow the Kayako guides. read it carefully,
the passwords must be stored in MD5 format to work,

someone please tell me we have a work around for this.

    Thanks
