Does aMember Pro have a way for users to change their billing credit card information for a recurring subscription? For example, if the credit card expires and they need to update the expiration date, or if they cancel the card and want to bill to a different card, is there a way for them to do that without cancelling and reording a subscription? I did not see any options for that in the user's member area.

By the way, I'm using the Authorize.net plugin.

    Thanks for the help.

Update cc link disappears after failure

Does anyone know if it is possible to keep the update cc link active, or perhaps separate out the cc info / billing profile from the rest of the data stored about the user? The problem I am having is that a customer may become expired after a single failure of the rebill (due to whatever reason) and when they go to update their info (change expiration date, for example) the link is already gone, the subscription is cancelled and there is no way for them to simply have the rebill re-done. They have to go and re-sign up for the product. Even though the effect is the same (they get the same product and it adds onto the time after the previous one has expired), they are always confused and annoyed by this.

I think this is particularly true with people who have valid cards who reach their expiration date. They don't even realize that their card is going to fail, then they get a message telling them it failed after it is too late to do anything about it. They perceive this as inept and awkward on our part. It presents an additional problem if you are offering a reduced price on rebills. If they get cancelled due to expired card then they have to rejoin at a higher rate.

There must be a way to fix this. Anyone?

Currently it is impossible. This part of processing will be completely redone in aMember v.3

BTW, there is a feature that will notify users about expiration, it was added to 2.3.8:
    from the changelog:

Following up on mh718’s issue. I checked the changes listed for v.3 – 3.0.2 beta, but didn’t notice if this was covered.

When a CC charge fails and the “Reattempt on Failure” option is selected in CP; aMember is still unable to resubmit the charge b/c the Card Info is deleted after the first failure. Shouldn’t aMember keep the CC info at least until the final reattempt? Ideally, aMember should never automatically delete the CC info, preserving the link to update CC info without having to rejoin.

Using 2.3.8 Pro, Auth.net AIM, and recurring billing.

Alex – were any of these issues incorporated into v.3x, or are any planned for the final release?

Once again, another example why aMember is the best. I guess we'll be upgrading when v.3 is out of beta.
Alex - thanks for such a quick reply.

    cc info not being saved?

Does this also mean that cc info is not saved if there is no active recurring subscription?

Is there a way to customize so the cc info IS saved? (and the customer link to update cc info is visible)?

    Thanks,
    Terri Z

    Terri,
    Yes, it is not saved.
And even if saved, it is not used for new purchases. User has to re-enter card number to confirm new subscription.

Unfortunately, it is by design, and cannot be changed.
