Trying to use the mod_rewrite with php include and I am getting the following:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare rewrite_run_main() (previously declared in /home/speech/public_html/amember/plugins/protect/php_include/rewrite.php:54) in /home/speech/public_html/amember/plugins/protect/php_include/rewrite.php on line 0

    any ideas?

    Please use new_rewrite protection instead.

I get the same error. I switched to new_rewrite as you suggested but I still gives the same message.

I am seeing the same problem on my site suddenly. Could this be an issue with IE7? I am emailing support now.

I removed all existing security (.htaccess) from my server that I had set up years ago. I reimplemented security using the "Protect folder" feature in the administrator console and selected "new rewrite" as my security model. I am no longer seeing any errors and everything seems to be working well.

I am not sure if this was an ISP upgrade of some kind to my server or an interaction with IE7, either way the problem is fixed.
