Only whitepages displayed

Hi,
I have an issue where only blank pages are displayed after installation.

The installation installed without a hitch and the tester.php shows that everythihg is ok and should work.

When i go to the admin page or to the login page i only get blank pages no errors.

has anyone come across this??
