I setup a test member account then made it an affiliate also. after that I was able to login to the affiliate area with no problem. Then a few days later I added some required fields to the affiliate sign-up form which was easy to do.. then when I went to sign-in again at: http://www.mydomain.com/amember/aff.php with the account that had worked all along. now I get this error. ----error message below---- Unknown action: Please contact webmaster: admin@mydomain.com -----end of error message--- Do anybody have any idea what causes this? my thoughts are that if you add a new field at a later date that is required, then all the affiliates that you have from the past that don't have the required info will get this above error and they will not be able to login to their accounts. if this is true, then it could be a major hidden nightmare for anybody with a good number of affiliates. I also sent a help ticket on this, however I currently have 5 open tickets showing and 24 hours has came, gone an went so don't know what the deal is there...
ok here is the message I got back from the help desk: This page never was supposed for direct login. Use http://www.mydomain.com/amember/aff_member.php instead.
If you're new it's a good idea to read the amember manual before you send out 5 unnecessary support tickets. Once you read it, you'll find all basic answers to your questions you might have.
I did read it and none of my tickets where on basic questions... example: can you give me a list of all the smarty commands and what they display? no you can not.. in fact that has been asked at least 4 times on in this forum and still you can not find a list anywhere. so before you make a silly post based on what you think to be true, try next time to ask and get the facts.
