I have been trying to figure out the best solution for my affiliate program.
I am currently using paypal to process payments so this limits me to a single tier option.

Which affiliate program do you think integrates the best with aMember, or do you think the built in one is good enough?

Does anyone manage a large affiliate base with aMember alone?

    Thanks,

    David

    Just one user's opinion:

We've used Ultimate Affiliate (groundbreak.com) for a long time. Integrates with Amember easily with a little code in site.inc.php (Alex did it for us).

Tracks all signups no matter what payment processor we use. Multi-tier affiliates possible.

After a lot of searching a messing around with scripts I settled on JAM by JROX.

So far it looks good, no problems with installing or integrating. It doesn't have a rebuild feature, so old members need to be manually added, but new ones are automatically added.

I made an install video (free members) and an integration video (paid members) for it. Check out the link in my signature to watch them.

    Davidm1,
How did you handle the integration? I am trying to use the same affiliate software and have been having a hard time with it. I am actually try to integrate a few other scripts along with just the JAM and aMember. My problems are that I need all sign ups to work together and I am not a programmer. I love the looks of your sign up and how is a smooth transition from site home page to affiliate sign up page. very professional looking.
How would you like to do some work on my site?
    Matt

    Thanks Matt.
If you follow my signature to my site, I have some videos on how to integrate JAM into aMember. I'm still testing to make sure payments are accurately recorded but so far I like what it can do.

If there's another integration that I haven't covered yet and is of enough general interest I could make a video for it too.

I was looking at your site and some of the videos. I just don't want to join another paid site. I will be promoting your site in my site however when I get it running correctly. I just need some help with it. I have been paying a programmer to do most of my work but it just id going too slow and I am tired of putting my users off. What I have is phpfox and JAM right now but i need someway to merge the 2 signups into a single signup and I beleive aMember will do that. I did a some searching around your site and the affiliate site and I have to say I am very impressed. I would love for mine to be close to that. I have some other things I want to add to my site also , but for now the 2 sign ups would make me very happy.
During set up of amember did you do any changes to the database prefix? i am at that step and not sure what to do. I really need someone experienced with aMember to do this for me. I will get someone to handle the appearance issues . I have a test domain to test setups of the scripts integrations,

Hey guy's im a novice. Most of what you guys are saying may as well be in Spanish because I have no idea what you are talking about. I've done a little research on affiliates and I think a 3rd party affiliate would be the way to go for me as I'm not super tech-savy and would like someone to track things for me. There's so many different 3rd party affiliates out there I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi thejlw

I cannot reccomend JROX highly enough though PostAffiliatePro runs a good second.

Trouble I am having is integrating JROX into Amember.

    Join this one!

Drop another membership and join TheMembershipAcademy.com - it rocks! I joined several months ago when I was at my wit's end and having a crisis per day getting my site launched. I asked a LOT of questions in the forum. I filed individual tickets. David remained calm during all my crises, was willing to even look at my site (many site owners don't ever bother!) and was very precise in his advice.

That membership has paid for itself ten times over! It will be the last one I drop because I get value every month. Plus any time I'm considering a change to one of my member sites, I check there first. He has inside information I don't find anywhere else - especially here at amember.)

The value of TheMemberShipAcademy.com is five times what you pay. Join now if you are serious about putting up a member site and supporting it through version changes, new plugins, etc.

    David,
Do you still use JROX? What are your thoughts on it now as far as using it with amember?

I use JAM for my members and the amember system for JVs on products.

If I where to do it over, I would reverse it - use JAM for my JVs and amember for the members who are affiliates.

Yep, I use it for recurring- using paypal, so have it using the IPN from paypal within amember. Other payment systems may not work properly with recurring.

Thats exactly where I'm at now....I don't want to use PayPal. I want to use Authorize.net for my recurring subscriptions. Paypal is very unreliable when it comes to recurring transactions

Lol...in fact, David, I would still be a member of membership academy if Paypal wouldn't have automatically canceled my subscription. One morning I woke up, and a bunch of my subscriptions were canceled.

Seems to me that there must be a way to make this work for Authorize.net also....but I have yet to find someone who can give me a straight answer.

    David, do you know?

    Why is that David?
I'm setting it up just as you have, but now that I've read your post I hesitate and wonder if I should do it reverse.
What makes JAM more/less suitable for JV/affiliates than aMember and vice versa?

    Thanks,
    Erwin

Actually, now-think i may just use amember. Larry at Jlogica created a cool plugin that will let you set JV amounts seperate from affiliates in amember so you can do them both in 1 system.
Its really one of those things were things keep changing- so its more important to make a choice and move on.
