Here's a question I posted on the VBulletin forum:

I want to integrate VB with Amember Pro, using their integration plugin. Amember's docs say that their plugin has been tested up to version 3.6.3 of vBulletin.

That's a few versions behind. So if I buy vBulletin, will I be able to get access to the older 3.6.3 version, or only the later one(s)?

And this is the response I got:

You can get access to 3.6.3; however, there are security issues with that version, as well as bugs that were fixed in the later versions. It is not recommended that you run that version, however, if you must, you can still download and install it.

So my question is: How could I obtain an integration plugin for a newer version of vBulletin than 3.6.3?

    Thanks in advance.

As the aMember crew run 3.6.8 here you should raise a ticket.

I am always open to doing an advanced plugin for vBulletin but someone would need to pay for a licence to run a system :).

Please clarify both of your above statements. They are unclear to me. Perhaps restating them in different words will help.

    Thanks in advance.

If you look at the bottom of the forums here you will see a later version of vBulletin .. so raise a support ticket and ask for the later version.

The other .. I write plugins for aMember but I do not use vBulletin and I aint gunna buy it to do an Advanced plugin. If you want an idea of what I am doing with IP.Board go to my site and look at the DOX for the IP.Board Advanced plugin which I am nearly finsihed developing.

Thanks for kindly replying. That's much clearer.

By the way, is IP Board one of the better forum software for SEO? Or is there another that you recommend? I was drawn to vBulletin with VBSeo plugin for the same reason.

Both a pretty good .. IP.Board has an optional SEO widget available from a third party developer it seemed to do as advertised but I am not overly worried about that sort of thing seeing as both my sites are niche based.
