Is anyone using iPower web host? I have used them for 2 years, but since they migrated to a new server platform and Control Panel, several things like aMember login scripts are not working. They work sporatically and may work better with different browsers but never consistantly.

Anyone got a list of changes needed to be compatible with a new platform?

    Thank you... Kevin

While I can not comment on the iPower shared / reseller hosting because I have no experience with them, my suggestion is to get a Virtual Private Server hosting. With VPS it's *YOU* who control what is installed and how it is configured. Sure, it means more responsibility for the customer but if you get a managed VPS hosting account, most of this stuff will be done for you anyway.

I don't want to sound like a VPS-monger but there really aren't many reasons why one should go with shared hosting and rely on the webhosting company wit. For example, with shared hosting, you could set up a perfectly working membership website with aMember (or anything else for that matter) and find one day that it simply stopped working because the webhosting company decided to change some crucial settings you have absolutely no control of.

Well, all I can say to shared hosting: No, thanks! And my personal recommendation is that you do that same. You will save yourself a lot of troubles in the long run...

Yes I have ipower...you have to contact support to have the techs install the ioncube loader for use to php.ini....they'll know what to do.

I just migrated myself to the new platform and had this issue and they resolved it for me. One good thing on the new platform is you can use new_rewrite which is the highest level of protection! yay!

I'd recommend submitting ticket but if you use chat, they'll create a ticket for you and assign it to the technicians that handle that (the chat tech won't do it).
