I just purchased amember, I was hoping it could integrate and bridge SMF forum and CCbill together with single sign on but it seems I have to enter credentials again when i go to the forum? Has anyone been successful at getting this to work?

also- i noticed when i log off the SMF fourm i am still logged into a session in the browser and can view the protected area - is there a better way to handle this like removing the login/logout option form the SMF and forcing it only thru the amember script?

i apologize if this has been answered before - i am using IE7 and the search function of this board is not working for me.

    thanks,
    Philip

i sorted it out - the installer didn't setup the cookie variable ( i didn't see it mentioned in the documentation either)

i purchased the SMF plugin. in the SMF section of amamber admin (which appears when it is installed i assume) there's a feild for the cookie variable.... you need to look into your SMF config file to figure out what it is and make sure it's put into that feild.... mine was something like SMF2432

I see, I must have an older version of the plugin because mine doesn't have that field. But I did go into the plugin files and I found a cookie variable that I updated myself. It still didn't work, who knows why.

    Thanks for the response though.

What version of SMF are you using? If your using the lastest 1.1.4 of SMF then you need to request a newer version of Amember plugin in order to get single sign on to work. If the cookie (it stores the credentials) is not setup correctly then single sign-on will not work.
