what protection did you set up?

Is there a .htaccess in your root folder? What is in it?

Do you get any error messages in your Amember log? How about your server error.log?

And... if you didn't change that directory in any way and it just "started happening" out of nowhere, I'd recommend a full security check in case your hosting account has been compromised.

Yes it's exactly this case, I really don't understand !!
But could you be more precise of what to do about the checking, I'm new and I don't understand :
    Chmod public_html/amember to 755.

My hosting is a mutualized server with a cPanel Pro 1.0 (RC1) admin.
    Thanks

In your cpanel file manager, locate the amember directory, click on the little icon - in the top right hand corner you'll get an option to change the permissions. Set those to 755 and save.

Checking your server is a lot harder. Have you done anything you can think of that might have changed the permission of that directory recently? Otherwise it could be a sign that someone else has been into your server and is messing around, possibly with malicious intentions.

At the very least I'd suggest changing your passwords and making sure they are reasonably secure passwords.

Thank you very much it work now !
My website is not again running so it's probably a mistake from the developpers or Alex who have checked it recently.
