Hi all, I wanted to know if I set up a product trial for $1, for 7 days and the rest to be charged in 7 days only (therefore there is no more charge after the second payment), do I have to check the box 'recurring billing'? Also, if I am using paypal, how does this work? Is the user charged automatically or is a bill sent to their email, or is there some other process that goes on? I can't find any explanations to this in the manual Thanks Dean
I just tested it out Trial $1 Days 7 Price $20 Days 1 mos. recurring checked Recurring 1 -Paypal link no good Trial $1 Days 7 Price $20 Days 1 mos. recurring checked Recurring 4 -Paypal link ok, but 4 payments Trial $1 Days 7 Price $20 Days 1 mos. recurring checked Recurring 0 -Paypal link ok, but recurring forever Trial $1 Days 7 Price $20 Days 1 mos. recurring unchecked -Paypal link ok, only a onetime payment of $1 So it looks like the paypal plugin cant handle this- you'll need to contact support to get it fixed. David
This doesn't make any sense?? Why would the product questions ask you if you want to have a trial if it doesn't work with paypal. I thought paypal allow trial subscriptions. when you say, paypal link didn't work what did you mean? I clicked on it and filled out the order form and was sent to the paypal site OK, the only thing is I can't test any further because Paypal doesn't let me use my credit card. Is this what happened to you, or did you not even get to the paypal page? Cheers Dean
Our problem is that it took the subscrion, gave em 7 days trial, and then ended the subscription and did NOT bill em for the rest of the month. *SIGH* Anyone else have this problem?
Yes. I had a $1 trial offer through paypal. Member got charged the $1 and nothing else. I gave up trying to figure this out because i thought it was an error on my end. Also deleted the product. These features works for some so i guess it's something i'm doing wrong. any hints?
