I have seen aMemberRemote and XMLRPC discussed in several threads here. what are they, how do they work, and where are they available? I have aMember installed on my server and would like to protect a new product that will be installed on its own server. Is that possible with the aMemberRemote plugin? Thanks, Kirk
XMLRPC is essential a web service that exposes the ability to add users, purchases, etc. via a XMLRPC call. You can enable it via the Admin CP and set a userid and password to secure use. By product do you mean a 3rd party App (like vBulletin or WordPress?), if so than either protecting the directory the 3rd party app runs in is a quick solution, or using a plugin.
