I am starting an online film school, www.filmschoolondemand.com. I am using wordpress and simplepressforums http://simplepressforum.com/ for this.

Will amember work with this? Its not a member site so to speak, students will buy and join per class. classes last 10 weeks. there is a forum that they will have access to. After the student buys the class he will only have access to the classes he pays for.

Also I plan on using paypal. can i offer coupons from time to time?

Does this have a built in affiliate program? That would be great.

    any thoughts would be helpful.

You can use aMember to control access to Wordpress pages; however, if your site is based on online instruction you should consider an elearning engine.

Currently integrations are available for Moodle and eFront. If you search this forum for these programs, you will find a lot of information on them.

    hey mediamogul,

You can use aMember Pro for these needs. Paypal is one of the many payment processors that aMember can handle and you can offer coupons.

There is a built in affiliate program, that was recently improved with v3.1.6

As you already have an existing Wordpress setup, you can consider Incremental Content plugin to do the "drip feed" of weekly classes, and bridge it with Wordpress CMS using The Bridge (available at www.amemberincremental.com), so that Wordpress can control the "drip feed" content. If you need help deciding whether this is the most suitable route for you, you can email me: codeispoetry [at] amemberincremental.com

Alternatively, you can consider gswaim's suggestion to use other CMS to control the content. You will need to purchase the relevant plugin to integrate with the CMS.

Great I will get in touch soon.

Do you know if I can choose which Pages or Catagories I want the paying customer to have access to?

Is it easy to set up (amember) with wordpress?

    thanks for your help!

    Dave
