Is there anyway to generate customized coupons that are specific words? IE if I want to offer a special discount to a Yacht Club I present at, can I have the coupon be "yachtclub" instead of a randomly generated string?
Hi Jason, You need to create a coupon in the aMember CP first, then go into phpMyAdmin to make changes to the coupon code so that it reflects "yachtclub". Lee
You can generate the coupon normally, then go in and edit it to accomplish that. No need to do it through phpmyadmin - you can do it through the amember edit link
On amember 2.x you needed to do it manually via phpmyadmin, however with 3.1.x jack is right, it can now be done within amember coupon /find the coupon /edit. David
OMG! That's awesome! I've been using aMember for 4 years and didn't know that existed. Thanks! PS. It would be nice if your could pick the coupon code during the coupon creation process. ;-)
I just tried to do this via admin > coupons > edit and it wasn't possible. Had to do it in phpMyAdmin. It would be really nice to have the option to edit the coupon code during the process of generating the coupon.
click on the batch id # / you'll be brought to a screen that show the general coupon info, click on the edit link, and you will be brought to another page where you can edit the coupon name. David
