Hi, I am seeing a number of my potential subscribers having difficulties signing up for my membership. Under the payment particulars their is an ACK item that states SuccessWithWarning then further on there is 'L_LONGMESSAGE0 There\'s an error with this transaction. Please enter a valid state in the billing address.' Now this is where a problem exists. The payment was successful yet the warning I am assuming is being displayed to the user and they then attempt to resignup and what follows is a number of failures due to 'The transaction was refused as a result of a duplicate invoice ID supplied. Attempt with a new invoice ID'. My client is ending up spending and inordinate amount of time in Paypal sending refunds to users who sign up too many times due to this misunderstanding. I have tested this and not come across where this problem is being created. Any advice, clarification, or solution would be much appreciated. glenn
I've not seen this issue before. Any commonality between the users that are receiving it such as particular product (or combination), any weirdness in the product names (non-English characters), customers IP, customer state, customer paying via PayPal account or Credit Card via PayPal, etc.
I am having EXACTLY the same problem. Transactions from multiple countries present the same error message: Payment failed: There's an error with this transaction. Please enter a valid state in the billing address. I have one Italian client who paid twice due to this glitch in the system and another who paid 9 times. I had to refund him 9 times on paypal which was utter madness. Has happend to clients from: Italy Brazil Netherlands
I've been having the same problem. It seems to be linked to the state list not being valid, but I've checked the list against national lists. Any help would be appreciated. I've contacted the helpdesk too.
This was fixed in latest plugin. It accept SuccessWithWarning response from paypal as positive and activate payment.
