check the permissions of the files in the directory (ie. htgroup, htpassword)

permissions are what they are suppose to be. I did do one things not sure if really affects it but...

product 1 was named PRODUCTA i recently changed the name to PRODUCTC

so previous subscribers I assume to the paypal IPN says PRODUCTA and doesnt match to PRODUCTC

but I still get paid it just doesnt updated amembers status

does that affect it? if so is there a way to adjust?

    this just came to mind

I had to switch domains... will that matter? because the IPN is now a different url

have your server paths changed as a result of your domain switch? If so you will need to make a few adjustments in your amember\config.inc.php to match your new root domain as well as your existing .htaccess files.

yes but they are all adjusted. I did a fresh install on the new domain and just got my amember license adjusted to the new domain. because I am able to get new payments and new recurring payments.... so they are all adjusted to the right and new domain.

not sure if the IPN from the old payments are hitting the new one because I do not see the error payments from them. so I am but sure. because if I receive payments I usually get an error in the error log but it isnt an error since it does not pertain to any products... but I do not even get that the old payments never hit the amember ipn on the new domain.

Paypal store IPN url for each subscription, and does not use global setting in this situation. So for old subscriptions, old url still will be used. Try to contact paypal support and ask is this possible to change IPN url for all old payments.
