Timed out

    I have a very infrequent problem with orders timing out at the final step. It does not seem to be connected to Authorize.net.

    I'm beginning to think it may have something to do with the connection to the database. Any thoughts or experience with this?

    are you getting any errors in the error/debug log?

    Good point. It's been so long since I've had an aMember issue, I forgot about the log.

    The attempt was made on: 11/12/2010 09:15:09, but there is no record of it in the Error/Debug Log. Any thoughts? I'm not sure what it means if no mention of it exists, I've barely ever used the log.

    You can also check the payment details and it may give an Authorize.net return code of some kind. Can also check your Authorize Merchant dashboard (search for the customer) and see if there are any clues.

    Unfortunately, there were no payment details nor did it appear to make it as far as Authorize.net.

    If you or others have not had this problem or heard of it before, it may just be a one-time occurrence. I've definitely had this problem though with shopping cart software: order doesn't complete, appears to times out, user presses back button and we end up with duplicate orders.

    Sign-ups have been slow the last 6 months so I'm looking into all possible causes.
