There is an option for this and is set to Yes (accept credit cards).

So as I understood issue, CC payments worked when you used test mode and does not work when you turn on live mode? If so for me this seems to be a problem with account itself.

Well, in Test Mode, it doesn't ask you to enter your credit card information. I'm thinking the issue is that you need to have an AlertPay account to allow for recurring subscriptions. So when you are forwarded to AlertPay to pay for a recurring subscription by Amember, AlertPay brings up that notice where it would normally allow you to pay for an item without being an AlertPay member, by just entering your credit card information.

Do you agree that this is a plausible explaination?

    Found solution

This isn't an ideal solution, but here it is, for what it's worth. I got the following response from AlertPay:

This issue is with the flow of your payment process. right now you have it set up where a user enters there information they get a payment link sent to them through email. The link you have been sending is not authorized to be sent by email, unless its a secure AlertPay authorized email. This is why it is not working. Any payments through email must be sent through an official AlertPay email invoice.

I decided to remove the Verify email on signup requirement, so that Amember would forward the user to AlertPay immediately after signup for payment and it appears to have worked.

Try having your aMember installation on a secure (SSL) server. So use https:// for the aMember link. This is probably what is not authorized.
