Good morning, I work for a client who runs a membership website, where he sends out 3+ emails to active members through Amember. He's reporting that on the day a user is due to renew their subscription, they don't receive the emails that they send out, which is a problem. Is there a way to extend memberships by one day after payment due day to keep everyone in Active status, or some other workaround to ensure that people don't fall into this trap? Thanks
What payment system are they using? Is it a renewal notice- saying they will be renewed thats getting sent, or a confirmation of renewal, after the payment? David
The payment system is PayPal (recurring subscriptions). The problem is not about payment confirmations, but the emails that are not being received by the members are the email newsletters that are sent out using the functionality within Amember. On the day of a member's renewal, I'm being told that those members are not receiving the newsletters on that day.
I guess you mean Automatic emails? Did you configure external cron job? Did you test email method in amember CP -> Setup -> Email ? If so did you receive test email?
Hi Alexander, The cron job is correctly configured and all other emails are working correctly. Let me distinguish where the issue is. The emails that the renewing members are not receiving are manual emails, sent out by an administrator, using Amember's Email Users function. This site uses this function to distribute the information that the customers are paying for three times a day. On the day that they are renewing their subscription, for some reason they are not receiving the manual emails that we send out to them. Does this make sense now? Thanks
aMember use the same mail functions for automatic emails and manual emails. So if all other emails are working, manual emails should work as well. may be your hosting have a limit for number of messages that can be sent at a time?
I doubt that's the issue, since it seems to be happening according to these very unique conditions. From what I understand, there's no other reports of lost messages, just those that are sent on renewal day. Any other suggestions?
