I submitted a ticket on Tuesday evening about a major problem on my site and have emailed since. One of my protected folders has become unavailable, my customers are getting an "internal server error" message when they go there. Now I cannot access the protect folders page in amember/admin. Would be so grateful if you could help me as soon as possible. All site details etc are on my email and support request ticket. Thanks, Frankie
I have a very similar problem which I reported yesterday. We can't get into our site at all. I know it's my fault because I tried to change the protected folder and ignored the path! Fact is that we haven't been able to access our site since yesterday afternoon. Please help!!!!
If your site is down you should submit a ticket in the help desk for the quickest results. They will need to know login info that you can't post in a forum.
Presumably you have made changes that have in turn modified one of the .htaccess files. Using an ftp program, access your site, and rename the .htaccess file to something else. You should now be able to at least access your aMember control panel and re-protect your folders. Some fpt programs hide the .htaccess files so, assuming your hosting is under cPanel. Go into cPanel, file manager and rename the .htaccess there. Again you should then be able to access your aMember control panel and re-protect your folders.
Laura, To fix this, just delete .htaccess file with aMember's protection code from your domain root folder. Then you will be able to login.
