Alex and all... I have a request for the OTO plugin. I've installed it and actually used it on a promotion I did. Found some stuff that I think will make it better...for me at least. First, what I like most about the OTO plugin and definitely want to keep is the way it bypasses the cart confirmation page. That should be a standard option in the product setup. If it is, I've missed it. 1) I want the capability to redirect to an external url immediately instead of having to add the page code in the OTO plugin. So, if there were an option to "include" url in the OTO process, that would be awesome. That way I can use already existing pages as the OTO page. 2) Generate the yes / no links and copy the code so I can add to the external URL page if I want. Any chance that could be added to the OTO plugin? David
We have thanks-redirect plugin. It is free. You can use this plugin to redirect user after purchase to your custom page based on purchased product (with your special offer or with some guide regarding purchased product) instead of display standard aMember thank you page.
I am looking in the plugins drop down and do not see that Ceasar. I am on V4.2.13.4d4e034 Maybe it is in a later version. Thanks for letting us know.
Caesar - I think you're missing my point. Or I'm missing how the plugin works. In the free OTO plugin, which is what I assume you're referring to, we are limited to adding our page in the plugin HTML window. I want "redirect plugin" as you called it that would redirect to pages I already have and NOT enter them into your OTO HTML editor. Does that help? David
@relapse Please contact us in helpdesk and we will send plugin to you. @maximize I think we speak about same thing. I mean we have another plugin (not OTO) that can meet your needs better than OTO plugin. This plugin called thanks-redirect and it allow you to setup existing url for product and in case user will buy this product he will be redirected to this url instead of standard aMember thank you page. Does it make sense?
Dear David, You can purchase this plugin in your account on www.amember.com. This plugin is free for aMember users actually so you just need to add it to your account and you will be able to download it.
first I added the I added the thanks redirect plugin in the folders as indicated when I unzipped them - into the misc folder. I could enable it but, I couldn't find it in the system. Next, I reloaded it as it says in the readme in the "protect" folder, but I can't find it anywhere to even activate it in Setup > Plugins. What's next?
Please disregard readme file. This plugin should be in misc folder. You can activate plugin at aMember CP -> Configuration -> Setup/Configuration -> Plugins (Other Plugins), then you will find new property of product, just go to aMember CP -> Producst -> Manage Products -> Edit (scroll down)
Ceasar, I am not seeing any new property for the oto plugin as you have described it's location in the misc file. I have it activated, but on the products pages, once I click to edit any product, I see nothing on the oto plugin. Can you help me out?
I have this thanks-redirect plugin... at the bottom of the product page in admin.. there is a box.. just paste the URL of your offer page there. I have a question though... I want to make an offer for the next product in my system... but at a discounted price... I can use a coupon code in the offer page (OTO with thanks-redirect) BUT... I want a neater solution.. with no coupon code.. just an already discounted rate... That means setting up a new product entirely??? And then adding all the protection.. I have about 200 pages of protected content.. Is there a neat and simple way that I am missing?
OK, rebuilt the database and the plugin shows up in the left hand menu at the bottom. Click on it and the process is self evident if you understand how V4 works. Russell, they may have changed it a little since you got it, not sure. But I am seeing it differently. FYI.
I was in such a hurry the other day I forgot to address your question.... I have had to create new products in lieu of using coupons for the same reason you are. However, you do not have to create a new protected page. Here is what I am doing: 1-create the new product with the new/discounted price 2-navigate to products >> protected content >> edit original product that you are duplicating at the discounted price >> use bottom drop down box to add the newly discounted product access to the original protected page. All done.
I have found another solution Requirement: Product A is sold then upsell with OTO Plugin to Product B at a discounted price from normal price of Product B 1 Create Coupon for discount amount for product B 2 Create OTO from product A to Product B 3 In OTO creation.. there is a box called apply coupon... apply the coupon you just created to this product ONLY.. and ONLY if they have purchased Product A Then when they purchase product a... they get shown OTO for product B... when they click to buy.... the coupon is auto applied and the discounted price is used.
