How do I set up a $1 seven day trial then $29.95 per month... will I have to get the script customized to do this? Or is it possible right after install?

Did you see in amember admin > add/edit products?

There you can setup trial dates and related charges n this connection. You could also give a second trial phase, if you want. So in the price you may enter the normal price i.e. $29.95 and in the trial a reduced price.

This feature is right out of box and if it would not have it the entire program you be useless and a joke to buy. Thats what amember is designed for.

You may get confused in this regards because Alex simply DOES NOT provide an extensive documentation after provide an excellent product.

However the company promises as against the documentation lacuna to provide support within 24 hours and this they have done WITHOUT an exception in my case. So if you are willing to accept this then you are much better of with the program.

I can see the add/edit products but no fields appear with recurring payment info...

Do I need a paypal plugin?

How do I make paypal my payment processor of choice once Ilogin to the admin area?

Hi Dave!

Well, you need atleast one payment processor like Paypal. Otherwise you will have to collect credit card infos and charge, which is what you DO NOT want.

So activate from Plugins > Payment Plugins > Paypal.

Then this will have to appear in each subscriptions as it needs to know which payment processor, and paypal happens to be one of them, needs to be used for that particular subsciption.

Well, you can have multiple payment processors and each mapped with a different one.

DONE, I setup paypal_r for recurring transactions.

Do I need to do anything else with paypal?

Do I have to setup paypal IPN?

Good that you came forward. I have not yet used any aspects of amember for any kind of payment situations. So my experience is very limited with amember in this regards. All I told you was out of my general knowledge.

Well, if you need to use the instant notification system then you need to work with this. You will definately find enough guidance from paypal. They have extensively described the IPN system.

And thats the best I can as as I am not having experience in this regards.
