I set up a product in my amember that's identical to one in 1shop cart and for a DVD for $59.95. When they buy it, they are to get a 30 day trial to an amember subscription product I have. The first month to the subscription is free as it is a bonus for buying the DVD. After 30 days, they are to be charged $29.95 per every 30 days. This is how I want to sell this DVD and several others. Each DVD will come with the same subscription.

Here's how I tried to set it up but it doesn't look like it's going to work:

When I set the product up in amember, you can't make it recur for $29.95 unless 1shopping cart does the recurring and you set it up to recur for $29.95. Thus, it seems I'd have to eliminate Paypal as a shopping cart for the DVD's but I don't see that as an option. It looks like if you have paypal available for one product, it has to be available for all of them. Is that right? Or can you shut off paypal for individual products?

I even tried setting the amember price to $29.95 with the trial price of $59.95 thinking that it would first charge the $59.95 for the DVD as it supposed to and then recur in paypal at $29.95 when it's supposed to but doing this makes the pricing with amember and 1shopcart different because the prices, as I understand it, are supposed to be the same. In other words, the amember price should match the 1shopcart price. In this case, they don't. So that would make it not work. Plus, when someone goes to buy the DVD they will see the $29.95 price when they're supposed to be charged the $59.95 price at first - so they'll think they're getting ripped off...or at the least it will confuse them.

Also, unless someone bought through 1shopcart, they wouldn't get charged shipping cost for the DVD. How do I fix that?

I don't know what to do. What's the answer? (Keep in mind what I want to do with the product as I stated in my first paragraph).

I'm not quite clear on how you have this set up.
You have a DVD which is $59.95 (trial) for 30 days, then recurring at 29.95 every 30 days.
You are using both 1sc and paypal. Is paypal on its own or in 1sc? (dont think paypal is working with recurring in 1sc) or are they deciding on the payment system on your signup page?

Prices and terms for the product match exactly in 1sc, but its not working?

The DVD is not a trial. It is the main product. As a bonus, they get a free trial of my subscription for 30 days. Then 30 days later, it is to recur at $29.95. My amember is set up to charge customer's cards thru Paypal or 1shopcart. Paypal is on its own - you can't go thru 1shopcart to use Paypal.

The way amember and 1shopcart are set up, it doesn't look I can do what I want to do...such as what I described above where I sell a DVD for $59.95 and as a bonus they get a free trial of my subscription for 30 days. Then 30 days later, it is to recur at $29.95. My amember is set up to charge customer's cards thru Paypal or 1shopcart.

If I could eliminate the option to use Paypal for certain products, I think I could make it work. Is it possible to eliminate Paypal option for specific products?

OK, then the trial price is the DVD price at $59.95.

I think its the word "trial" for the payment thats confusing you- just ignore it and think of it as payment#1. With this payment, they get 30 days of free access, after which the recurring at 29.95 kicks in.
What you are doing is bundling the DVD in with the subscription product and using the "trial amount" as the dvd price.

well....I thought about that. I can make it work with 1shopcart but I don't think I can with Paypal because you can't tell Paypal to do recurring charge for $29.95...unless I'm understanding it wrong. (This is why I wanted to eliminate the ability to pay thru PayPal with the DVD's.)

    Thoughts?

Thanks for your help by the way! :D

If paypal is direct- not in 1sc you can do recurring.
