I have two websites (One already set up with aMember protection, as well as phpBB2 and pMachine plugins, and the other in the process of configuring). Both website membership areas will have identical content (one geared towards US teens, the other towards UK teens).

What I want to do is allow anyone who registers for a membership on one website, to have identical access on the other website. Will both aMember configurations have to point to the same database? Is that feasible?

Sure you can do this. And yes both aMember installations should point to the same database.

can different forms of protection be used on each site?

    for example,

2 joomla sites on 2 domains

2 amember install with 2 licenses ( one for each domain)

both amember installs point to same database

cb/joomla plugin for one joomla site on domain and amember/joomla plugin on joomla site b

    possible?

Yes possible but Joomla installation of site b have to use the same MySQL server. (to get Joomla plugin working)
