    hi,

i make it as short as the title intents.

    1. Will your J! integration be able to do these 3 stages of membership:

. Free content for anyone = "public" in J!
. amember registration for free of charge but login required area = "registered" in J!
. amember registration (or upgrade from "free of charge member") for charged login area = "special" in J!

Site scenario: Public Blog + Free content for reg.Users + Paid content for Paid users

!-- if not... I think J! 1.1 will hav extended group management, right?

    thanks,
    norman

aMember will handle it and set Joomla users to corresponding usergroups as you requested. It is easy to setup.

Will Joomla manage access permission as you expect? I cannot say, but you may try that, just create users in different usergroups and make sure access restrictions are working.

hi alex and thanks for the answer.

unfortunately it seems that joomla is not yet supporting more different user groups than "public" and "registered" (with different sub-levels like author, editor, etc..)

but there's a component out called JACL (http://www.byostech.com/) which can handle multiple user groups and by the way is also compatible to CommunityBuilder RC2! (which i was talking about in another thread.

well, so i think i will try to get JACL up for a test and then we'd have amember for a run.

Norman, unfortunately, aMember is currently not compatible with JACL.

    Any update?

Any progress on Amember and JACL integrating? I would love better access over user levels in Joomla/Amember access.

    Same problem here

I'm using Joomla with JACLPlus, amember and amember Joomla Plugin, at the moment there is no integration, when you login through amember login, you are login automatically to joomla too, but without the correct User Access Level (define with JACL)...

Is there a solution coming soon ??

Any updates on multiple level memberships with JACL?

We are in need of 3 levels of membership:

    1. Free Registered
    2. Silver Level
    3. Gold Level
    4. Platinum Level

Any news on the integration with JACL yet?

    Thanks
