Hi, Get a 500 intenal server error when try to access setup.php.
Have followed instructions and tryed chmod 707 and 777 - tester.php worked fine and got "Testing whether your system has Zend Optimizer in php.ini...OK"
So am using zend version of amember.
ok got setup open just now ,played around with chmod and 705 works ,(no public write)....does this mean I need to contact my host about the 500 error when is set to 707? am going to try setup and see what happens will be back to edit if still no answers here.

On your hosting you just don't need to change permissions, keep defaults and everything will work.
