I would like to add fields to specific products. A gold member has more to fill out than a silver etc..
I looked into the FAQ section: http://manual.amember.com/FAQ#Add_fields_to_particular_products_only

    And there is mention of:
To do so you need to understand the concept of 'price groups'. When adding or editing products you have the option of entering a number in the field Price Group.

I cannot find any notion of 'price groups'? Are these categories now?
Need more info on creating extended fields for specific products.

    TY.

I guess you use aMember v4?
In v4 there is no price groups anymore, so in order to add fields to different products, create separate signup pages for these products and add different fields to these signup pages (amember CP -> Forms Editor )

Sorry yes I have V4. Rather than separate pages, can I show or hide fields based on the product selected in the signup header?
    For example:
    [ ] Gold
    [ ] Silver
The Gold member has more fields to fill out than the silver.

    Easy way:

    Create 2 signup forms: one for Gold second for Silver;
Create a separate HTML page (or WP page if you are using it) with 2 links: Gold and Silver, linking to these forms.

This seems to work but each product has several unique fields and users can purchase several memberships. Can these fields be updated using aMember? Or will this be something I have to take care of on the backend?

    Example:

    User-1
    Gold Membership - 1 ( field-1 field-2 field-3 )
    Gold Membership - 2 ( field-1 field-2 field-3 )

    User-2
    Gold Membership - 1 ( field-1 field-2 field-3 )
    Gold Membership - 2 ( field-1 field-2 field-3 )

Sorry but I don't understand. All custom fields that you create can be updated through aMember CP -> Edit User

I have a question, how can I make the custom fields I made show up in the admin email.

    Example:
    my field name is shipping_name
    I use %user.shipping_name% but I don't get the data.
Am I using the wrong var?
