Adding folders to incremental plugin but CHMOD errors

    Every folder time I try to add a folder to the incremental plugin I get an error saying CHMOD must set set at 777 for it to work...

    ...but I have every folder in the file path now set at 777 and I'm still getting the same error.

    Recommendations anyone?

    Is there already a .htaccess file in the directory? If so then this must also be set to 777 or deleted.
