    Hello,

    My site has 2 products:

    Free & Paid

Each of which share the same thank you pages, thanks.html

How can I install a tracking code to only register convesions when someone upgrades to paid?

In other words, only if someone pays do i want it ro register a conversion.

    Many thanks!

Do you mean Google analytic tracking?

If so then page count would include everyone who visits the page as a 'convert from free' as well as anyone who joins 'paid up' from the start. Or must they join free and then convert?

If this is the case I would have thought it would be quite easy to implement but confirm I have the idea right.

Hey thanks for the reply... actually i'm talking about Google AdWords. I want it to count the conversion anytime someone pays, whether it be an upgrade from free, or just a straight payment.

The problem is if I have affiliates promoting my site and they use adwords, even people who join for the free tour will be counted as a coversion because both memberships sharse the same thank you page.

I'm looking for some sort of solution so it only counts the paid memberships.

    Many thanks!

I'll think about that but basically you are looking at free members going to one thankyou page and paid up ones going to a second?

No, I have one thank you page, and wondering if I can add the conversion code so it only shows if they buy product 1... I have it now so it displays two different messages, one for each product.

If this was my site I would be inclined to use the same method as I use to direct members to various other customised pages. In this case modify thanks.php to have the condition check to see what product has been subscribed to.

Then have two almost identical thankyou pages, one for free members which calls a footer that does not include the Google code whereas for those that paid the thankyou.html calls the standard footer that contains the Google code.

Or maybe I have misundersood, not sure but using two individual thankyou.html pages you should be able to achieve anything.
