Admin/Users (i.e. sub-accounts)

Has anyone used aMember Pro in a web application where the account owner (the "Admin"), can create additional accounts (sub-accounts) for one or more "Users"? Ideally, a set of "permissions" could also be set for each User.

Perhaps the Subusers module could be modified for this (if it is modifiable), but I would like to avoid programming if possible.
