    Hello all

I'm not really clear as to whether we need an SSL certificate for our website. All credit card info is input on the providers ( paypal ) side. Our signup only asks for a username, password and email. If anybody gets their login stolen, the only thing that can be gained is access to our private forum and any protected files.

The protected files are not a problem as they need authenticating when run to work properly anyway. The forum is a slight concern, but I don't see many forums with secured login/signup pages. Even Amembers site right here doesnt secure the pages for login into my account or this forum.

So, what's the opinion of you good folk? Is it needed in this context or not?

Any advice would be appreciated. :)

    Mike,
I personally think you don't need it.

I figured the same thing, Alex. :)

But you read so much stuff online about how important it is to secure usernames and passwords. I was keen to hear what some other amember users think.
