Hello everyone, I'm running into a problem while trying to set up an affiliate program through aMember. Here's an example of my problem: I sell a product for $10 and I currently have set the global affiliate payout rate to 50% on first payment. Yet when a customer signs up through the affiliates link, I am getting the full $10 in my paypal account, while the affiliate is seeing no income. The strange part, to me, is that the math IS correctly being done inside of aMember and on the affiliate's 'Affiliate Information' page. So when the affiliate visits their page, they see that they made $5 on the sale, however their Paypal Account is not being updated. Is there a step that I'm missing? Do I need to manually 'pay out' to the affiliate somehow, or should it be done automatically? Lastly, I should mention that we have run some tests to make sure that the affiliate's paypal account is properly working, and it is... so I can at least rule that out. Any help would be appreciated. Yeah, you manually make payments to the affiliate using the pay affiliate option in your affiliate admin. This should only take a few minutes every month (or frequency upon which you pay) David
Thanks David. However, I'm new to working with an affiliate program, so I have a follow-up question... So after manually paying out the affiliate by clicking the 'Pay Affiliate' button in the admin control panel, the affiliate has still not received the payment. I had assumed that at this point aMember would automatically transfer money from my paypal account to the affiliates account. But what I think you're saying is that I need to manually pay each affiliate on my own, outside of aMember, and that the process is not automated at all through aMember - is that correct? And if that is the case, can you recommend a 3rd party plugin that works with aMember and automates the affiliate payout process. Thanks, David.
You need to generate a mass pay file, that you then go into paypal and make payment with it. No 3rd party way to do this- and it would be a waste of money to have one- it takes a matter of minutes to do. David
It can be done automatically by aMember Pro. In aMember CP, on Affilaite Payout page, choose a specific payout method - lets say "PayPal", then click "Pay Affiliate" button, and download of the CSV file in PayPal MassPay will start automatically. One important notice - if past pay period is already marked as "Paid" in affiliate stats, then you can use this method only in the next month. Now it may say that no payouts to be done.
