Affiliate settings in setup and products?

    Hi there,

    I'm setting up commission levels and I noticed that there are settings in both Setup->Affiliates AND in 'Manage Products'. Are the Setup->Affiliates values used as defaults where you don't specify values for a product? In other words, do the product values override the Setup->Affiliates values? I hope you understand what I mean. :D
