    Hello Everyone,

I'm about to do a rebuild of a joomla membership website . I found the restrictions between free (registered) and paid members complicated with the need to hack joomla code to seperate the premium content from the free members. I was contemplating a new angle at this. Build three seperate site:

    1) mydomain.com (squeeze page with member log-in - static)
    2) free.mydomain.com (free trial website - static)
    3) premium.mydomain.com (Joomla website - CMS)

I find that joomla (with amember) still works best with just 2 levels, registered and public.

Can I use amember with the joomla plug to seemlessly manage the userbase between the three sections (websites) including joomla?

Any feedback especially with those joomla membership owners appreciated.

    Thomas

    That looks good.

If you are just giving a single level of access- public and paid
(registered), then joomla/amember with no hack will work. You can set the joomla admin config page, and set "Show Unauthorised Links:" to yes. This will give you teaser copy.

You may though need to do a redirect from the joomla signup page to the amember signup page when they click on the teaser copy.

    David
