Hi guys, Forgive me but I am a little bit confused. When reading the readme instructions to install Joomla plugin the section headed "amember<-> Joomla plugin or mambot installation" mentions in no.2 "Choose Upload package file : amember-plugin.zip for Joomla 1.5 and amember-mambot.zip for other Joomla versions (the file is inside this ZIP)" My question is this. Is 'amember-plugin.zip' the Joomla plugin file named 'joomla.zip' that I would have downloaded? I can't for the life of me find a file specifically named 'amember-plugin.zip'! If the former is the case I have uploaded this file and get the following error message: "Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package." What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your help.
I had the same problem and Alex sent me the correct file. It looks like it is not corrected in the standard package yet. Try the attached file - it *should* be the correct plugin/mambot for Joomla 1.5. It has GPL license so I am sure it's OK if I post it here (but we are talking about the "mambot". not the whole integration plugin). Tomas
Sorted this missing file! Thanks Tomas, the guys sent me the needed file too. It was as you say, missing from the plugin download!
thank you guys very usefull to have the link ... Bought the product last week and yep their .zip file is still wrong and doens`t containt the proper pluging !!!
With Joomla 1.5 and the module I posted, amember may not be logging you in properly. Try using the native joomla login. David
Thanks for that file, I thought I was crazy or something... I just bought the module two days ago and it wasn't in there still. Does any one know how to get the Joomla Configuration to work?? I can't get the Joomla DB and prefix to work... no matter what I put, it says it is wrong. I'll keep looking through the forum and maybe find an answer, but that is frustrating me. Justin
Justin, keep in mind that in the aMember config for the Joomla plugin it asks for the database name + the prefix, not just the prefix itself. So it could be something like: HOSTINGUSERNAME_joomla.jos_ Of course, the database and prefix name may be different for you. Tomas
Thanks for the response. Actually I did finally get it to work, I just had to call my host provider to find out how to get the password for the user on the database that was created when I set up phpMyAdmin. But now I have new problems. I'm asking support for help too and I've actually set posted them in this thread: https://www.amember.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7515 I'm getting errors that may be caused by my original admin user name and password, because they are not in the admin database... but the problem is even deeper than that. Go figure. I keep searching for answers on here and at Joomla and several other sites. I've been up day and night for nearly two days working on this. Learning a lot yes, but ready to kill someone or shoot my computer... Again thanks for any help anyone can give is most welcome. Justin www.alliantnetwork.org
