I'm planning on starting 10 different websites, all running phpBB Bulletin Boards. Can I have 1 aMember License take care of all of them? Derek
Are they all under the same domain name? Then yes. If subdomained, make sure the subs are located under the primary domain as subdirectories. ie. primary.com = \ , sub.primary.com = \sub (or primary.com\sub)
Are all the domains gonna be hosted on the same server? Sometimes you can have amember on one domain, and have it protect folders on another domain if they are all on your own dedicated server. I'd say test it out with the trail version, nothing to loose. Main problem I see is that the PHPBBplugin will only be good for 1 database/site. David
support for multiple sites i've also got a similar scenario...wondering if anyone has made progress on this. ...i've got several websites, each of them have their own domain, hosting, and wordpress install (i've tried doing this using wordpress mu, and sub-domains, but support for wordpress mu has been difficult at best, and i opted instead to get all of them their own seperate installs). am wondering if i could use amember to handle the membership on all of them. it's not a money issue; i could pay for licenses for each of them. my issue is w/ the way i want to offer my content to subscribers; i want to tell them that if they subscribe at ___ level, they could get access to all our sites. so i would need something that says if you sign up and pay for membership at website a), you also get access to be able to log in to websites b), c) and d). can amember do this?
If I understand you correctly, I think you just need many instances of phpBB plugins running under 1 aMember Pro script.
I have a similar need... but cannot find any documentation on how to use the REMOTE or XMLRPC function... Where do I go for help?
