    Hi,

We are setting up a membership site and need to know about the best way of going about achieving the following:

    1. First the flow of payment should be as follows:

Sales letter > 1shoppingcart checkout > Amember registration

    - The first problem we find is that amember's regular payment/signup process makes it so the customer has to register first, then pay. This is not desirable because of adverse effects on conversions. We need them to be able to pay first then register.

    2. We need to setup two payment options and a recurring with both.

The customer should have the choice of paying $997 upfront and $97 a month, every month there afterwards -or- paying $547 upfront and $547 the next month plus $97 the second month (a total of $644) and $97 recurring each month thereafter.

    Questions

    1. In order to achieve the above payment option scenario, how do we set up Amember and 1shoppingcart as far as products. We notice Amember product setup does not have a recurring billing option, so how does that work with 1shoppingcart?

    2. We have hired a programmer. In order for him to reverse the payment flow so they pay first and sign up afterwards what will he need to do?

Thanks in advanced for the help.

bryanmc10 did you ever figure this out? This is exactly the scenario I am facing and there does not seem to be a clear answer. Sending customers to a bundled product in 1shoppingcart with the main product and the recurring product is the ideal way to set it up, but then can that user data be passed back to amember and finalized by the user after payment?

    The way payment flow works

User orders at amember -> amember user record made -> payment record made (unpaid) -> sent to 1sc to complete -> payment made- sent back to amember -> amember payment set to paid.

Recurring- IPN hit in amember, so access is continued.

Is there an easy way to pass user data from amember to 1shoppingcart?
Right now I have users entering their first and last name and email address on the amember signup page, then sent to 1shopping cart where they have to enter it again. Can I somehow pass that data through to 1shopping cart?

    I'm curious about this too.

Some users have complained that they filled out the information in the amember sign up form them filled in the same information on the 1shopping cart form. If there was a way to pass this information to amember it would probably mean less shopping cart bailouts.

No unfortunately this can't be done. This is integration limitation.

Here's a question I have (as I've had a handful of clients with this same requirement already) - why, oh why, do you need your customers to sign up at 1ShoppingCart first and foremost?

Even more so, why do you need them to sign up at 1ShoppingCart at all? What does 1SC offer that aMember doesn't? (aside from broader affiliate functions and autoresponders)

I talked to 1shopping cart about this issues. I preferred if all the information was on 1 single page but they said it is a popular request they have and that "they are working on it" so in other words no idea when this will be changed. I was hoping there might be a way to do it with aMember but judging by the posts it doesn't look like its possible yet.

Was this resolved with the latest 1Sc aMember integration plugin?
