I upgraded to the new amember version to be able to track sales via google analytics. I added my account # and it is not tracking my sales.

Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Pascalevdb,

As you probably know, it takes 24+ hours for collected data to start showing up in google analytics. That being said:

    1) Is it tracking any data. Are page views ,etc. being tracked and just not transaction level details?
    2) When you "View Source" on one of your aMember pages do you see the tracking information contained in the page.
    3) Check your account number, is it correct? Does it have the numbers before and after the "-".
    4) What is your website, I can take a look

Good Evening and thank you for your response.

Yes, you can look at my site:

    www.workoutsondemand.com

    1) It is tracking non amember pages
    2) Question: I've been using the older analytics tracking, does that matter? Do I need to use the newer version? I hope not - that would mean I would need to change out the code on 400 pages :-(

    3) The account # is correct.

    Again, thanks for your help!

Looking at your site it appears that the final number is missing from your aMember tracking code:

non aMember pages tracking code: UA-3120965-2
aMember page tracking code: UA-3120965 (<- note missing "-2")

    Hi there,

    That worked! Thank you.

FYI to anyone in future: When I went into google analytics to get the account #, the account # listed did not contain the -2 (even though it was in the code)

Thank you skippybosco, now I can finally track my sales.

Great news. I only charge 10% of the sales you track ;-)

On a side note, if you are interested in real time analytics, check out Clicky Analytics.

I've been using them for a while now for tracking a number of my sites and have been very happy with the results. I have code written so that it uniquely identifies my aMember user names so you can drill in on a specific user, specific visit and the actions they took during that visit.

If you prefer to be all web 2.0, they also have an Ajax "Spy" mode where you can watch your users interacting with your site in real time..

I'm trying to figure out the best way to build an aMember integration that replaces (or compliments if you prefer) the internal Google Analytics with Clicky to make it seamless for admins. stay tuned.

    Cool stuff.
