can anyone point me to a palce where I can understand how amember deals with 4images: general questions if amember generates username and password will it be the same in 4images (4images has a login area) if i add members manually will it communicate with 4images registration should i remove the registration link on 4images to avoid registrations outside of amember how do i protect the entire area from outside access (from those that didnt register via amember) i have 4images set up like this main folders/categories premier basic i set up groups and users, etc via the control panel that is all fine i need to make sure basics dont get into premier area hopefully I wasnt typing as confused as I feel at times Linda
4image question again I know you missed me alex (ha) I have amembers set up. example for free membership, sign up works fine. I was then redirected to the agreement then the amember login The page requested a username and password. email came via email, etc. then redirected again to the image gallery area 9Im using 4images) they then again have to register a username, password, and wait to confirm (I can turn off confirmation) OK, so my question is 1) can the same username and password from amember be used in 4images and the user still be given access to only what they paid for 2) how can i protect the 4images area so that the amember cannot be bypassed, im using something with php in the plugins area
Then I don't understand your questions - sure it works as you need. Go to aMember Cp -> Edit Products and set "4Images Group" to "Registered" for all your products. Then go to 4Images admin and edit configuration settings. Allow images viewing for registered customers only and disable registrations (users may register via aMember signup page only). Then, when member completes payment via aMember, he will be registered member in 4Images. As you can see, there are no other ways to become registered user in 4Images, so this protection is very native and well-working.
