Anyone running the affiliate program that we could look at, would love to see one in action and how you set it up?

We're trying but having some brain farts along the way into getting unique links for each member that wants to integrate our affiliate banner on their site. Maybe we're trying too hard and thinking that some referral system is working.

For instance, I was assuming that each new customer that paid to enter our site would get a unique banner url for the affiliate program. However, upon testing some bogus accounts this is not true.

    I am a newbie at this :D

I wish there were more specific instructions to use the affiliate program with paypal_r and IPN.

Has anyone used P3P policy maker and is it really necessary for affiliate cookies to work?

    Will keep you apprised...

    Tom

P3P is necessary if you want to be honest with your affiliates. IE browser
configured by default to don't accept any permanent cookies without P3P
policy. This way, your affiliates will be credited only if user makes
purchase immedately. If user back to site several days after, affiliate will
    not be credited.

I too am trying to get this setup but I'm stumped on #3 in the instructions:

"3. Go to aMember CP -> Setup Affiliate Banners"

I can't find that link anywhere! ... Hmm..

It's under Utilities section of Admin CP and called "Manage Affiliate Banners."

I don't have a Utilities section in the CP. I'm running version 2.3.1PRO.

I recommend you to wait for 2.3.3 release on this week, then upgrade.

    Manage Banners Link....

You must logout , then log back in (as it states in the manual).
Then you will see the new Affiliate management links in the left menu.

Is setting up the P3P difficult? after we make a privacy policy, where do we put the file and how many do we need?
