Auto Locking By Ip

    Hi

A couple of times recently I have had registered members complain that they are suddenly unable to login, and when I have checked their details within the Amember database the Auto-locking by IP is set to "Yes".

All other members seem to have this set to "No", so it seems that somehow this is being altered for certain (very few) users.

Any ideas how this might be changing?

I sometimes have a similar problem with the Amember Free. I have had people complain of suddenly not being able to log in anymore, and I myself am having the same problem, when I know I have not changed any of my information.

However, after doing minor maintenance on my computer (deleting cookies and such, defrag and virus scan, nothing too serious) I am suddenly not able to log in. People are paying to get into my site, and this isn't fair to them. I was able to log in yesterday, how come I suddenly can't?

My email if anyone has had this problem or can ofer my some help, (please also be aware I've not changed ANY of the HTML files or Amember files on my server, however, we were switched to another server with my web-host yesterday... however, I could still log in yesterday... would this have anything to do with it?)... sorry, again, my email is Den@webgals.ca. Hope to hear back from someone very soon.

    Thanks,
    Denise

Richard, please try to use less strict IP-locking settings at aMember CP -> Setup -> Advanced.

Denise, your problems is absoltutely not similar! Contact support@cgi-central.net if you need help.

    Hi Alex,
I have experienced this problem, i.e Richards problem.
I currently have IP-locking settings set to 10,000.
I do not want any of my members to experience this issue. Please could you advise me with what you think I should set the IP-locking settings and the hours settings to?

    Thanks in Advance.

    Jon

Set IP count limit to 10000 and period keep as 24 hours. It is the same as no account sharing protection.
