Is there a report within aMember that tracks Automatic periodical E-Mail Messages? I have seeded my installation with three different email addresses of my own and have not received the autoresponder messages. Not a one. So I'm guessing emails are not being sent. I probably have something setup incorrectly. These are the steps I've done... Added autoresponse messages to the "Autoresponse" Messages section of aMember Enabled external cron using curl example from the amember manual without any error messages. Contacted my host and requested curl to be enabled. Which they've done. Still, emails are not being sent. Running http://seogoldsoftware.com/amember/cron.php from my browser generates a blank page. No confirmation of any kind and no error messages. And viewing the source from the browser shows there's nothing there. My guess is I've set something up wrong but am not sure where to look to fix it. I'd like to get this fixed because my autoresponder series is where I've loaded a few 'get acquainted' messages as well as back end offers. My back end sales will remain stagnant until I fix this. Any ideas what I might have 'broke' or what I should next look at to fix this? Thanks. Andre PS: Not sent a message to support yet because I know they are busy. Hoping someone here has seen this problem already and knows what I need to do to fix it. If not, then I'll send a support request. Thanks x2. PPS: Forgot to mention, I'm using amember-PRO-3.1.2
You can try http://seogoldsoftware.com/amember/cron.php?ok=1 and see if an error log is written. you may also be able to add this to your cron to see if your specific cron job is working. David
Have you got Email setting set correctly in Product? (assuming emails are attached to a product?) And have you checked email settings in "Setup/Configuration" also? Also if you run cron.php manually there is no output to the screen
I think not. In the Send Automatic Emails section of the individual products there's nothing set because I Enabled Send Automatic Emails under the setup/configuration/e-mail section. I added an email template there. Not in the products. Are you saying this global setting doesn't work the way I'm imagining the field is for? Do I need to setup the very same automatic email into each individual product, despite having already added the email to the global area of setup/configuration/e-mail? If so, seems redundant. Will try it though to see what happens. Too bad one global setting doesn't apply to all products as i had imagined. Either that or I have something mis-configured real funky. Thanks. Andre --------- Edit: nope, didn't work either. I added an automatic email to the product section, ran cron, checked my emails, and nothing has been received. So I went ahead and sent the email manually this time. Will work on figuring out what i jacked up later. Hope this sounds familiar to someone who's also run into this before. Thanks.
Don't panic...you dont need to set up for every product. I was simply asking so I could undestand what setup you had doneIt depends if you need email specific for the whole site or for products. Is the site sending ANY kind of emails eg signups etc? What email settings are you using PHP? Sendmail? SMTP? Have you tried using another protocol from that list?
Signup email goes out just fine. They get that initial email showing their login details etc. So I'm 99.99% certain this is an error on my end...but am not sure what to look for. Below are screenshots of my setup. No clue if something obvious is sticking me in the eye that I'm overlooking. If ya see it please let me know. No success. I gave up trying. I think i will test integrating listmail or some other autoresponder aMember has plugins for once this product goes live again. If anyone sees an error in my settings in the links above please let me know. thanks.
Hello, This is mainly for AndreBell. In your screenshots for configuring autoresponse it didn't appear that you specified the number of days of when to send e-mail. Just to the left of the "Add E-Mail Template" button is a edit field that you set the number of days in. It's not obvious that this field needs to be set unless you pay attention to the text immediately above it. I would have to say bad UI design for this one. Jimmy
I am facing the same problem. All payment notifications and signup mails get sent out fine. But the autoresponder part ist not working. I set up a product with a list of 14 mails to be sent in intervalls after signup. Beginning with one set up for 0 days. This one should come immideately. Cron works fine. Anybody out there who could help?
Why don't you people just submit a support request to Alex to look into this? That's the best way of getting this issue taken care of, as there are a million variables that could be affecting each and every one's set up here...
