Is it possible to automatically unsubscribe a customer from a product when he/she orders another product? example...I am offering free trial membership's, (this is set up as a free product)....if they decide to pay for a full membership, I would like them to be automatically unsubscribed from the trial membership product Is this possible?
Same here, would be handy for having differient levels of paid membership. So user could upgrade his account and not be liable for paying the lower level anymore. Would be handy too if user could also downgrade his account and be removed from the higher priced one. Guess it isn't too hard for user to cancel account though and then signup for the one he wants again, although you might lose some people like if they get distracted and forget to signup again. That is why upgrading/downgrading would be a handy addition to amember.
I think technically, this could be done by alex quite easily. The problem I see is with the payment system- Since the subscription is being processed by for example paypal, you currently have to log into the paypal, and manually cancel subscriptions. I don't see how this would be done automatically by aMember. Moving from free to paid however, doesn't require a payment cancellation. But because its free doesn't really need a cancellation does it? David
Very true. Your right paypal and cancelling manually would be the only way anyways. If using a differient payment processor then I still dont know if its possible.
I have a need for automatically canceling a member's free membership when they upgrade to full member. Has this been worked out?
Larry at Jlogica wrote a nice plugin for me (that I give to my premium members) that adds a 2nd product when 1 is ordered, so I'm sure he could make one that removes a product. You should send him an email. http://jlogica.com/wp/ David
Larry rocks... he wrote me a plugin that works very nicely. And well worth the price. If your looking to delete one product when a member orders another product, this is perfect. Email Larry for details. http://jlogica.com/wp/ Thanks David for the tip.
