Hey, guys. I'm looking to pick the best autoresponder that actually integrates with aMember; I need to have one that will e-mail users who don't actually buy our product (from scrape page) and then stop emailing them from that list once they do buy (putting them off responder A and onto autoresponder B). I'd like to do it from a non-aMember autoresponder (preferably with more features). What do you guys use, and why? (Aweber's non-integration with aMember makes it a non-starter.) Thanks so much!
Listmail can be used. I recently developed a plugin that will add users not completed to a new amember product so they can be put on a sequence using the amember system. they are then removed upon product purchase. David
I just talked to Aweber on the phone. It sounds like it's not going to be a problem. In my case, I use Authorize.net as the payment processor with Amember. THAT'S the email parser you need the guys at Aweber to create for you so that when email receipts are sent out, they get sent to Aweber instead of you. If you're using PayPal, then set that email parser up. Shouldn't be a problem (I hope). I'll keep you updated...
Susan, Any good news? I've come up with a workaround. Basically putting the Aweber form on the "thanks.html" page in the templates. On it, it says, "Wait. One more step". Then I have them put their name and email in there and click submit. I'd like to be able to populate the name and email address box already. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, what do you mean by the paypal email parser? I contacted Aweber last week about integrating with Amember and they informed me there was no integration. Should I be asking them about paypal since I use paypal as the processor?
I do it just like jgilbert writes. On the thank you page, the customer is "told" (the wording is important!) that they must fill in their details, so that our system can "verify their purchase." They want to get the product, right? So it makes sense to fill the form. But this isn't just any form. It's a form that sends the customer's details to a specific list. Just below the form there's information - in case the customer is getting impatient - what happens after the formfill: 1) The details go into the specific list 2) The customer is now taken to a download page with a big thank you. (Normally, you'd have avoided this in-between page, and taken the customer straight down to the normal thank you page) This in-between step is important, because it helps the customers to put themselves in the specific list without you having to do all the hard work.
If you're looking for an autoresponder script that integrates well - AutoResponsePlus is the one I use.
