Basic Question about protecting folders (I'm not finding it in the manual)

Hi,

I have a basic questions about using the amember system.

I've read the manual, but the manual does not step back and give me answers to some really basic questions.

Lets say I have just installed my amember software on
www.mysite.com/members

now, does all my protected content NEED to go under the /members folder?

i.e. www.mysite.com/members/folder1
www.mysite.com/members/folder2
etc

or can my protected folders be ANYWHERE on my site?

And the second basic question is
I want to have two types of subscriptions/products
1 free and 1 paid.

the free people and the paid people will both have access to
the same content i.e. folder

is this possible?

The reason why I'm doing this, is I want to have some "VIP" type
of people that I give my subscriptions to.
