I am curious if anyone knows a good way to protect exe files. I have tried .htaccess but the problem is that amember does not log what members are viewing as well as any IP addresses. Also, when you hit to many users you will not be able to use .htaccess as it will "crap" out. Is there another method to doing this or perhaps a way of logging people downloading files. I have amember pro. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated! Thanks, Matt
We have just created plugin to handle these situations - you enter file path of your file into amember product settings - after that, all downloads for this file will be hanlded via aMember. You can limit count of downloads of this file and manually adjust it if necessary. You don't have to protect this file specially - as it can be located outside the web tree, it is 100% protected. This plugin costs $30 ("One-Time download" plugin) - you can order it from members area.
