I'm having some issues with Bots signing up to the forum - I have already added Captcha but is there a way to prevent more on bots with vBulletin?

Possibly adding a random question or something can i do that?

Unfortunately aMember doesn't support any other ways to prevent bot signups yet.

We just need a simple question/answer ability for amember. We customize it to our site, switch the question every once in awhile, and no more spam.

    Please add this

Cannot a custom brick be written with a simple 'Please prove you are human - what is 2 + 2?' which can be changed by site owner as and when they wish.

Sign-up then only permitted when correct answer given.

Thank you! Those damn bots have been making me crazy. I am deleting over a hundred registrations from people like "vmztjlxlm vmztjlxlm" every single day.

I am trying the random question brick now. Hopefully, this puts an end to it.

Did that solve it for you, Jack? It didn't for us. We're still seeing the "vmztjlxlm vmztjlxlm" registrations every day. Makes me wonder whether (a) they have a way past that, or (b) some drone is sitting there figuring out the answers to the questions!

I did not find an "official" solution, but I found a practical one. When I banned anybody with a .pl or .ru email address, 99%+ of the problem went away.
