Hi All. New here. Amember seems to be a good script. im ready to buy this script, just need to ask if amember can do this. Im planning to set up a template shop where customers can choose from a collection of templates by category and they can add it to cart from the front end site. and when they signup/login, they just pay for the total amount they have in their cart. And have immediate access to the files/zip to be downloads. I dont want customers to purchased templateson the amember area but only from the front end site, they just pay for the total amount in the amember and download. Is this possible? what cart can be integrated with amember? Regards, Mike
It could be possible but need more info Hi Miketemp, I have some thoughts on this but from your post I didn't entirely understand what your customers would be buying (I'm still waking up!). Are they buying the templates or a membership that then lets them get more templates? One 'proof of concept' experiment I did after chatting with someone else from these forums was to link the Virtuemart shopping component from the Joomla content management system to aMember. I found it was, in principle, possible to set Virtuemart up so that if someone was logged in and had an active membership in aMember the Virtuemart 'add to cart' function could be suppressed in favour of a 'download now' link. If the visitor was not logged in or did not have a membership, then the visitor could buy and download the product as normal. If you could give a bit more on your business model then I could give clearer help. Cheers, Ianh
Hi Ianh my customers would be buying templates. similar site is http://xatemplates.com/index.php just like any template shop, where you buy templates, pay and get instant download access to the file. Im not just sure if there are alot of cart out there that gets the buyer instant download access after they pay. Thanks for the help.
