I want to set up amember to charge for a forum. I would like guests to be able to read posts and browse the forums, but I would like only paid subscribers to be able to post in the forums. How do I go about doing this? Thanks for any help.

    Suggestion:
Use aMember to bill and manage your members. aMem can then add your paid members as Registered users to your Forum. Then just set your Forum to only allow acces to/for Registered users. You can actually have multiple access groups and levels.
For your Forum you can use vBulletin (that's what's used here) or SMF (a free full featured forum - I'd suggest SMF). Both can be locked down the way you want.

    Edit:
I just noticed you want guests to be able to read and only paid users to post. I think almost every Forum out there could be set up like that. You could even go with Joomla to set up your site and use Joomlaboard as the Forum. Use aMember and the Joomla plugin. Joomlaboard will use your Joomla members db to grant access. You could be up and running in under an hour.
