Can amember recognize and disallow payment with same cc number?

I know that when you create a user, amember knows if a member is already registered with the same username and the same email address, but is it possible for amember to recognize that the same credit card is on file and disallow a new account to be created with that credit card?

Sounds like a customization would be needed.
Theres no checkbox for this.
